I. Sign Engagement Letter
If married, we are requiring both spouses to sign an engagement letter.
You will most likely already have received an email asking for an e-signature. If not, check your spouses email. Still not luck? Choose Option A or B
Email [email protected] with “Engagement Letter Request” in the title of the email and in the body of the email list out: first name/last name and your email (two different sets of names and emails if you are married) and what type of return(s) we are preparing for you.
- We will then email you (and your spouse) a secure e-signable engagement letter in pdf format.

II. Upload Tax Documents/Organizer
New to 2020 – we are requiring all clients to fill out an organizer that is specific to your tax situation. We want to make sure we are taking everything into consideration without having to delay preparing your tax return by asking redundant questions. If you are a new client, please also upload your most recently filed tax return.
If you are a returning client and want a pre-filled organizer, please email [email protected] asking for one with “Tax Organizer” in the subject.
Side Note: No need to fill out number information for W-2/1099-INT/1099-B or financial information if we have access to QBO/financials.

Remember to always upload your documents your documents to Onvio account. We will not accept documents sent through email because of security reasons.
III. Finished Uploading Tax Documents?
Once we see that you have started uploading your organizer and tax documents we will send an email through Onvio asking if you are finished uploading documents.
You may notice some documents disappear after you have uploaded them. We pull them out of the shared folder so we can keep track of any new documents you may upload during the prep phase.
Once you are finished, please respond to the request to let us know we can begin preparing your tax return.
Additional information requests will be sent through Onvio. Please answer the requests through Onvio and not through email for security purposes.
IV. Finishing Touches
You will get an email when your return is ready for review followed up by an email with an Invoice. Once we receive required signatures and payment, we will e-file your tax return to the IRS.
- Review your return(s)
- Make sure to verify all the information is correct
- Personal returns – E-sign through Onvio Client Center (if married, required by both spouses)
- Business returns – print out 8879, sign, upload to Onvio Client Center
- Pay your invoice
If any changes are needed for the tax return (outside of a quick number change), you may incur additional prep fees
